And assumptions were true LOL. Carlo is a real music lover. He can actually memorize the tune of a song in just one sitting.

Before he left, I check the play count of my iPod. I laughed out loud when I found out that he keeps on listening to a certain song a hundred times. What do I mean with the statement? Here’s an example

I jotted down his top 5 favorite songs on my iPod before I gave it to him. Too bad he’s not using it in England. He’s busy playing with the drumset and the radio hehe

As what I have mentioned in my previous blog posts, Carlo and I recorded some videos together a week before he left for England. I originally planned to make a “dramatic video blog”, but since I can’t really instruct him to do what I want him to do, we ended up recording videos full of fun moments and I really think its cute

Last year, Carlo fell in love with the song “The Sweet Escape” by Gwen Stefani. It’s my favorite break time song too. We even sang this song together in my mobile phone (I will upload it soon). I decided to make a simple music video for the song featuring some of our “bloopers”. The middle part is quite funny yet very personal.

I was posting my comment on Tita Noemi’s latest blog entry her son’s death when suddenly, i felt the urge to write an entry in this blog.

In the said entry, Tita Noemi recalled the last song she sang together with her son Luijoe. The song is the Enrique Iglesia hit “Be With You”. It was meant to be a love song (or a ballroom dance piece for some like me), yet the lyrics of the song had a different impact on a mom longing for her son:

Instead of feeling negative towards the song, the mommy blogger made a slideshow of her son’s last happy moments in the resort where he died. I haven’t watched the video yet (blame it on dial-up huhu) but I am quite sure that you will see a young kid who happily spends his time with his family.

If you listen to a song, sometimes we have different interpretations. Just like with Enrique’s “Be With You”. For most lovers, it more of longing for someone you love romantically. In your case, it is more on longing for a family member you truly love.

I remember when my father died, there is this one song that actually pertains to a woman who left her partner. But since i remember him liking the lyrics of the song, i had a different interpretation on the song (Will write an entry about it on his 4th death anniversary).

My brother Carlo who is an autistic child left for England months ago, and i remember before he left, he kept on singing the song “When You’re Gone” by Avril Lavigne. Now, I remember one line from the song that he kept on singing and that’s what i am feeling right now *tears*

“I never felt this way before, everything that I do reminds me of you”

Sorry Tita Noemi for being emotional. I just realized that two of the most important men in my life are not here beside me right now.

When I pushed the ‘comment’ button, I was already in tears and I played that special song via winamp. I will be writing a separate entry and i’ll be uploading the slideshow I made containing our photos together before Carlo left for February.

On a lighter note, Carlo and I talked on the phone last Monday. He was happy and he said “I miss you” a lot of times (as dictated by mom on the background LOL) and he sang Akon’s “Don’t Matter“:
