The Acceptance Speech : Emerging Influential Blogs of 2008 Journey

I woke up with a smile on my face and bonded with my office mates and one of our managers did treat all of us for lunch. I was plurking from time to time playing with some of the plurkistas and how excited we are for the event that night. Who would have thought that an hour before the program starts someone “influential” in my life suddenly made me cry?
I was unsure if I should still go to the awards night since I cried before taking the cab, but thank God I still went to the Emerging Influential Blogs of 2008 awards night at the Legend Villas.
I was late and I am happy to see a lot of old and new bloggers in the hall. I know that some of them came from their workplace or from school. Finally, I managed to smile 
Being included in the Emerging Influential Blogs of 2008 is an honor for me and the rest of the winners. As I browse through the list, I was amazed because each of the blogs represents a certain niche, and I am happy that my journey as a sister to Carlo somewhat touched other people’s hearts. I would like to repost some of the reasons of those who nominated for this blog, but I’ll just print it out and keep it.
Just like as what I’ve said in my short speech last monday, I was emotional in the early part of this year because of Carlo’s departure. Oh my, it’s been five months? Writing in this blog somewhat helped me release whatever i feel inside and reading the comments and emails from parents and siblings who dropped by in this blog somewhat made me feel happy that in a way, I was able to make them realize that having a special child in the family is not a burden, but a gift.
My passion for writing and sharing what I know and feel about Carlo’s condition contributed a lot on why I gained a spot in the list. My love for him is unconditional. How I wish he was here with me when I received the award:
